Chris Cosgrove, MD
Chris Cosgrove grew up in the mountains of North Carolina in the small town of Hendersonville. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel for undergraduate studies where he earned a B.A. in Biology. Chris went on to attend UNC Chapel Hill medical school where he was awarded MD with honors. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at Shands Hospital with the University of Florida in Gainesville. Chris also served as the chief medical resident for the University of Florida for one year following the completion of his residency training. Chris is married to Billie Forehand Cosgrove (a Wilmington girl) who he met in medical school and who is a practicing dermatologist in our community. Chris and Billie have three children...Spencer, Eleanor, and Lena Rose.
Andre Leonard, MD
Andre Leonard, MD grew up in a large family in the piedmont of NC and went to undergraduate school at the University of North Carolina.at Chapel Hill where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. He married his lovely wife, Angela in 1992, and went to medical school at the School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. He performed his internship and residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and subsequently returned to North Carolina to join Chris in Wilmington to help build a budding hospitalist program in 1998. Andre and Angela have three children, one girl and two boys.
Christine Fleming, FNP
Christine Fleming grew up in Massachusetts. She came to Wilmington to study nursing at UNCW and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner in 2007. Christine worked at New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department for eight years and spent two years as a Critical Care Transport Nurse for Airlink/Vitalink. Christine came to work with Intracoastal Internal Medicine in December 2009. She is married to Thomas and in 2010 they welcomed their first child, a beautiful daughter.
